John is native son of the Wild Coast and an ardent conservationist and photographer of same. His imagery captures the spirit of this wild and beautiful region that plays host to the Sardine Run every year.
John is based in Port St Johns, Eastern Cape and is at present station commander for the National Sea Rescue Institute on the Wild Coast.
A certified skipper, diver, professional hunter, national tourist guide, journalist and photographer, Salt Water Fly-fisher/guide with numerous listed records, John has traveled extensively throughout the world in these capacities.
John also founded the Wild Coast Conservation Forum which led the fight against the construction of superhighways through the protected areas of the Wild Coast.
SEAL Expeditions and Tom Dailey have co-produced several BIG 5 Game and Marine Photographic Safaris
John currently owns and operates the Outspan Inn www.outspaninn.co.za and is a SEAL accommodations partner on the Sardine Run expedition.
